Free service available for all children, and young adults ages 18-21 with Medicaid. Family or school or hospital staff can call. Mental health professional arrives within 90 minutes to assess for risk and recommend alternatives to psychiatric hospitalization. Use in mental health crisis when youth is danger to self or others (cutting, talking of suicide, threats to harm self or others, punching holes in wall, etc.).
